What is a TV provider?
A TV provider is a company that provides television viewing via cable, satellite dish or - in some cases - online streaming methods.
At NBC.com and on NBCUniversal apps, viewing live or locked content without NBCUniversal credits attached to an NBCUniversal profile requires a subscription to one of our listed cable, dish or digital TV providers that includes the channel or content and allows streaming in the current location and on the current network.
Users who write in to us often confuse this with an internet provider. Internet-only plans will not have access/authorization to play locked content within the app.
Please confirm with your provider whether or not they will allow online streaming of the content you are trying to view in your location and on your network.
