The NBC app streaming library includes thousands of hours of content - all you need to watch is an Internet connection (and, if you’re bingeing This Is Us, tissues).
You may want to test your connection to make sure you meet our recommendations as detailed below. (You’ll also want to be sure that you’re using the app on a supported connected device.)
Video content in the NBC library may be encoded with a variety of quality standards, which will adjust depending on your Internet connection speed and the device you're using to watch.
To achieve the most consistent and highest quality video streaming performance, we recommend that your Internet connection is able to reach at least the following download speeds:
- 3.0 Mbps for NBC streaming library content (full episodes and clips)*
- 8.0 Mbps for the live stream of your local NBC station
* Video content delivered in standard definition may play correctly through connections as slow as 1.5 Mbps. To stream content provided in high definition, we suggest a connection speed of 5 Mbps or faster.
